Local Missions

  • Matthew 25 Outreach Center is called to feed the hungry in our community, as we bring to life the words of Jesus found in the scripture of Matthew 25: 31-40. Through the combined effort of many volunteers our monthly, free produce distribution provides fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables year-round. While providing food to the hungry is very important, our primary focus is building relationship ….. we seek to nourish the body, but we also seek to nourish the soul, as we build relationships with our guests.  Our services include the distribution of assorted groceries to those visiting us on-site. But we also conduct home deliveries to anyone with physical limitations or without transportation. Additionally, we provide shelf stable foods to low-income senior citizens, supplementing their dietary needs. When we put our faith into action, we can do more than provide much needed food - we develop personal relationships, which build trust and open hearts, allowing us to bring hope and share God’s love with our friends.

We invite you to join Matthew 25 Outreach Center as we share food with the hungry, build relationships with our guests, and share God’s love with everyone we encounter.

  • Starfish Project of Richland County is a 501 (c)(3) charity made up of community members dedicated to assisting those struggling with addiction by connecting them with treatment options- we prefer to use faith-based treatment programming but also link to conventional treatment. We meet the person where they are and help them find a new way of living. We also help individuals returning to the community by connecting them with healthy resources and individuals. We provide financial assistance for some faith-based treatment options as well as transportation to treatment on a case-by-case basis. We have a “Walking the 12 Steps With Jesus” support group on Sundays at 3:00 pm at the Shelby Helpline Building located at 29 1/2 Walnut St., Shelby, OH.

    Others can help by:

-Donating for the treatment and transportation

    -Helping with one-on-one mentoring

-Praying for the ministry & those assisted
